The Intellinet Network Solutions Gigabit PoE+ Media Converter offers simplified migration from copper-based Ethernet to Fibre Ethernet while providing power to a compatible device of up to 30 watts. The device creates the simple expansion of existing networks with minimal cost and complexity. The converter is fully transparent to the network, so the network works exactly as before - only now it can support both copper and fibre media.

Expanding the size of an existing network.

The converter provides fibre connectivity for Ethernet segments, allowing further network expansion between extended workgroups. As it provides connectivity from building to building without the cost and disruption associated with installing additional routers, network administrators can quickly incorporate this converter into their current setup and keep the network running as it should.

Power-over-Ethernet-Plus Capable

The Intellinet Gigabit PoE+ Media Converter brings power to where there is none, eliminating the need to hire an electrician and lay electrical lines. And because the converter supports the IEEE 802.3at / 802.3af standard, up to 30 watts is available for any compatible device.

Flexible cabling

Network operators can install fibre-optic cabling anywhere in a network without changing the arrangement of copper-based Ethernet. The compact size of the converter allows it to be easily deployed in any narrow desktop location or used in a wall-mounted installation. Multiple converters can be installed simultaneously in a 19" rack-mountable chassis.
